    We are grateful for our American Baptist Family and appreciate the relationships that have grown over the years with American Baptist Churches USA, American Baptist Churches of Ohio, and the Mahoning Valley Baptist Association. Many children and families have been blessed by the giving of many churches through the White Cross and Care and Share programs. Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries has also been the recipient of funding through the America for Christ offering and One Great Hour of Sharing and countless hours have been spent volunteering, providing needed programs and services for families in need.

    The strong support and leadership of Youngstown and Warren Assembly of God churches has enabled Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries to grow and expand over the years. Churches have come together to collect hundreds of Christmas gift boxes each year, volunteer for large (and small) events, and coordinated efforts to mentor and bless our children, teens and families.

    The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has been a strong partner for many years. Not only do they provide funding but they have also been a program partner for several initiatives that have enabled us to address specific community needs.

  • redondo community center partners

    Our Redondo Community Center houses more than just HRNM programs and services. Pathways Church, Tiny Faces Childcare, Mercy Health Stepping Out Program, Exousia Rehabilitative Services, and the MTC Hornets, a Karate instruction program, all call our Redondo Community Center home. These partners are an integral part of our Redondo family, increasing outreach and opportunities on Youngstown's north side.

    The Envision Center, located in the YMHA Rockford Village housing development on Youngstown's east side, is one of 17 Envision Centers across the country that hosts a number of weekly programming events focused around the four Envision Pillars:

    • Educational Advancement
    • Health and Wellness
    • Character and Leadership
    Our Envision Center leverages public and private resources to help individuals and families living in HUD-assisted housing climb the ladder of opportunity. Additional partners include United Returning Citizens and The Center for Community Empowerment.

    NOW Youngstown is a nonprofit organization in Youngstown dedicated to establishing unity, restoring hope and rebuilding the greater Youngstown community through God's life-changing Gospel. Our partnership with NOW Youngstown includes summer outreach events, special distributions throughout the year, Unity Services and a lot more.

  • summer food service program

    Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries operates the largest Summer Food Service Program in the greater Youngstown area. Each summer we provide fresh, nutritious meals daily to children through 13 - 30 distribution sites all over the city. This does not happen alone. We partner with a number of churches, nonprofits and businesses to feed children when school is not in session. This program is provided through an agreement with the Ohio Department of Education as part of the USDA SFSP program.

  • Summer residential camps

    Each summer we are blessed to be able to send between 70 - 100 children to a week of residential Church Camp. Our camp partners, Camp Carl in Ravenna and Koinonia Camp and Conference Center in Geneva, open their camps and their hearts to transform the lives of our children.

  • Local nonprofits

    Project MKC is a nonprofit organization serving children all over Northeast Ohio through a variety of programs and services. Our partnership with them has enabled us to bless many families with diapers, wipes,  car seats, and a host of other items needed to care for babies.


    The Youngstown YMCA has been a strong partner for many years. Many of our children learn to swim at the YMCA and the recreational opportunities offered have helped our children learn about teamwork, good conduct and social skills that will carry them far in life.
